THE JAM FAMILY is

Events, workshops, artistic productions...
An open invitation to
connect and exchange,
learn and create,
grow and support each other,
live a human/social experiment...
It is a trip through time and space,
A universal being whose arms open endlessly...

VISIT THE JAMHOUSE
(Jam Family home-base in Montreal)

We would like to acknowledge that we are located on unceded Indigenous lands. The Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather today. Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is historically known as a gathering place for many First Nations. Today, it is home to a diverse population of Indigenous and other peoples. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.

The Jam Family was born in 2010 out of small gatherings around food and music in a colourful home in Montreal. This home, now known as The Jamhouse, has become a community hub and the root place of an ever-growing family scattered around the world.

Emma Anders
Founder & Community Events Organizer

Emma’s active participation in her community has positively impacted a vast number of people’s lives. She often gathers people together exploring the ways, as a community, we can nourish our creative potential. Whether she's leading the Environmental Club at Dawson College, organizing events in the neighbourhood, or getting involved locally wherever she travels, she has long been drawn to the power of exchange and learning from authentic experiences of connection.
Since 2010, Emma has organized anything from musical jams, community feasts, skills workshops, yoga & meditation events, poetry gatherings, women’s circles and open mics out of her home in Tio’tia:ke / Montreal. What started out as small gatherings around food and music, and carved by the presence and contribution of many individuals, this home is now known as The Jamhouse. Now a community of people from around the world, the Jam Family continues to grow and hold space for co-creation and exchange.
